Stanley Bahorek is an actor, director, teacher, and producer. Currently he can be seen on the Emmy Award-winning Netflix show Master of None as 'Barry.' Other TV: HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, NBC’s Law and Order: CI. Broadway and Off-Broadway acting credits include The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Circle in the Square), West Side Story (Carnegie Hall), Amazing Grace (The Nederlander), February House (The Public Theater), Queen of the Mist (Transport Group), See Rock City  (Transport Group), Inventing Avi (Abingdon Theatre), The Explorers Club (Manhattan Theatre Club), and Little Me (Encores!). He toured the country with the Tony Award-winning, DeafWest revival of Big River. Most recent stage appearances include "Stuart Gellman" in Caroline, or Change at Tantrum Theater and 'Giuseppe Zangarra' in Assassins at Yale Repertory Theatre. Other acting credits include: the title roles in Amadeus (The Alley), Candide (5th Avenue), Nerds (Philadelphia), Ken Ludwig’s new play Baskerville at Arena Stage and McCarter Theatre. Awards: Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Excellence alongside Ken Barnett for their roles in February House, Dean Goodman Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a musical for ‘Henrik’ in A Little Night Music, the Seattle Spotlight Award for ‘Candide’ in Candide, and a Barrymore Award Nomination for his portrayal of Bill Gates in Nerds. Dedicated to new works, he is an original cast member of more than twenty world premiere plays and musicals. Original cast albums: Amazing Grace, February House, Queen of the Mist, See Rock City, Honk!. Directing credits: Act Normal (Senses Askew), and the music video 'My Mama Told Me' for Indie Pop Star Andy Suzuki + The Method. He co-produced the world premiere, NYC productions of Charles Mee’s soot and spit and the new play Sheila by The Associates. He has taught at Yale School of Drama and New York University. He holds a BFA in musical theatre from The University of Michigan and a Master of Arts from Baruch College. www.stanleybahorek.com
