Yuval Boim is a New York-based actor, writer and teacher. He trained at Boston University and at the London International School of Performing Arts under Thomas Prattki, former pedagogical head of the Ecole internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq. He has taught Lecoq, Physical Performance and Movement, Improv, Acting, and Ensemble Creation at Pace University, Princeton University, SUNY Purchase University, Boston University, London International School of Performing Arts, Movement Theatre Studio, Val de Loire Festival du Jeune Théâtre, George Street Playhouse, Luna Stage, and Improvolution. Since 2007 he has been studying regularly at the Iyengar Institute of New York, where he completed a rigorous two-year yoga teacher training. His acting work includes appearances in major film and television productions including HBO’s The Plot Against America, Bull, Blue Bloods, Red Oaks, Law & Order: SVU, Norman, and That Awkward Moment among others. In theatre, his Off-Broadway and regional credits include Primary Stages, The New Group, HERE, Ma-Yi, Culture Project, NYTW, Public Theater, Playwrights Realm, STC (Helen Hayes Award), George Street Playhouse, The Huntington, Pig Iron and Premier Stages. His writing work includes the feature film D.I.Y. which was optioned by Patrick Somerville (Station Eleven, Made for Love, The Leftovers) and received a grant from the Duplass Brothers; Sexcurity (Cleveland Public Theatre), and presentations of work at Dixon Place, Joyce Soho, IRT Theater, Exit Theatre, and a commission from Bebersee Festival in Germany. He is a company member of The Actors Center.
