Award-winning performing artist, choreographer, educator, and artistic director Fritzlyn “Fritz” Hector presents Unified Pulse- A Diaspora Fusion Experience as part of the spring course, “The American Experience and Dance Practices of the African Diaspora.” The class is open to the University community to observe.

Fritz’s work draws from choreographers, master dancers, and musicians from America, Haiti, and western, central, and southern Africa. She travels extensively worldwide as an artistic director and choreographer of her company Fritzation Experience. She is a 20-year veteran performer and cast trainer of the international sensation Off-Broadway show Stomp. Currently the Director of Dance and professor at Long Island University Post, Fritz is also a principal dancer and rehearsal assistant of Harlem’s Forces of Nature Dance Theatre Company. She is a 2021 Bessie Award winner for her debut virtual dance film, Steel Standing, which she directed and choreographed.
