Wintersession event offers an insider’s look at Hollywood careers through workshops, panels, and networking, led by Princeton alumni working in entertainment.
More than 45 students and other members of the Princeton University community attended the fifth annual Script to Screen: Tigers in Hollywood day-long Wintersession seminar on January 24 in the Donald G. Drapkin Studio at the Lewis Arts complex. Fifty alumni also tuned in to observe sessions through Zoom.

All sessions were led by Princeton University alumni and focused on both the business and creative side of Hollywood, including an information session entitled, “The Business of Hollywood”; a “Performers Workshop” that taught the practical skills of creating an audition tape; a “Writers Workshop” that provided a writers’ room experience for participants; and an “Assistants Panel” of early career alumni who shared their career journeys.
Alumni who came to campus to lead sessions included actors Ben Diamond ’19 and Tessa Albertson ’20; Sydney Johnson ’24, Executive Assistant, Peter Rice Productions; writers Nick Ellis ‘14 and Rachel Alter ’14; Brian Boone ’12, Agent, Motion Picture Talent (Comedy) at Creative Artists Agency; Zennen Clifton ‘08, Creative Executive at Apple TV+; and James H Shin ’05, President of Film & TV at HYBE America.
Alumni who participated via Zoom included Jacy Duan ’21, Showrunner’s Assistant, 20th Television; Matt Kuenne ’23, Assistant at WME; Samantha Liu ’22, Assistant at 21 Laps Entertainment; and Katie DiFrancesco ’21, Assistant to Head of Gloria Sanchez Productions.
The seminar was organized by the Lewis Center for the Arts’ Associate Director of External Affairs Angel Gardner and the Center for Career Development’s Associate Director of Career Advising Tai Yee Ho; with Princeton in Hollywood officers Kirsten Hansen ’19, Sydney Johnson ’24, Kirsten Pardo ’24, Simi Prasad ’19, Katherine Shifke ’18, Lydia Weintraub ’18; and Paige Morton ’25, Princeton in Hollywood (U).
