Come see final presentations from THR 341, “Acting & Directing in Musical Theater,” on Wednesday, May 4 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Berlind Rehearsal Room at McCarter Theatre Center.
The course, taught by Lecturers in Theater John Rando and Ethan Heard and Music Director Vince di Mura, is a practical, hands-on introduction to acting and directing in musical theater. Students prepare songs and scenes from selected musicals with an eye to how best approach the particular challenges the scene presents.
The end of semester showing will feature great songs and scenes of the American Musical Theater canon directed and performed by theater students Danielle Allen, Alyson Beveridge, Dan Capera, Dylan Blau Edelstein, Alexandra Daniels, Kat Giordano, Olivia Gomez, Sam Gravitte, Natalie Lu, Maddie Meyers, Graham Phillips, and Meagan Raker.
