Join a hands-on experience of actively participating to create an altar and engage with the cultural practices associated with Día de los Muertos. The installation will feature guest artist Veronica Olivares-Weber, who will guide participants in creating a vibrant altar and lead workshops focused on traditional practices related to Día de los Muertos.
The installation will take place at the Carl Fields Center at Princeton University. This central location ensures accessibility and visibility for all students and participants.This interactive celebration will deepen the understanding of the holiday and its significance, fostering a sense of community and remembrance.
Invitation to community members to participate in workshops during the celebration, and contribute ofrendas to the altar, creating community engagement while honoring loved ones and celebrating cultural heritage!
The event is a collaboration between Princeton University student groups Club of Mexico, PLASA, and El Centro.
