Events

Comedic ensemble Baby Wants Candy presents a live table read of The Getaway, an original TV comedy developed in collaboration with Princeton students through a Princeton Atelier course. This live performance will feature virtual appearances by actors from Los Angeles and New York, including Ellie Kemper ’02 (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Office). It will be followed by an in-person Q&A with the creators.

The Getaway is a comic adventure about a shameless con artist (Ellie Kemper) who skips town by sneaking aboard a three-week bus tour of Europe. From Athens to Paris, she’s forced to cope with a bus full of misfit tourists, their hapless guide, and the gangsters out to kill her. It’s an outlandish road trip… that might just offer her a chance at redemption.

The Getaway is produced by Albert Samuels and written by Scott Eckert ’03 and Kevin Napier.
