Black History Month: Free Screening of “The Story of Souleymane”

As part of the Princeton French Film Series and GSG's Events for Black History Month, join us for a special screening of four-Cesar-winner "The Story of Souleymane" (2024) by Boris Lojkine who follows a fictional asylum seeker from Guinea, Africa, working in the French capital as a bike deliverer. Cuban-American playwright María Irene Fornés crafts this one-act with her distinctively stylized prose, which draws from real-life testimonies of balseros, to create a vast landscape of overlapping fears and dreams.
