As museum director at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, Calif., Mary Levkoff ’75 oversees William Randolph Hearst’s vast mountaintop estate, whose grounds and interiors house a priceless European art collection visited by more than 750,000 people a year. Levkoff, who has been the director since 2014, says she’s constantly in awe of “Hearst’s genius as a collector … his visual acuity and exceptional imagination, his superhuman energy and work ethic.”
