Kenneth Tam is a Brooklyn-based artist born in Queens, NY. He received his BFA from the Cooper Union (2004), and his MFA from the University of Southern California (2010). He has held solo exhibitions at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (2018); MIT List Center for Visual Arts, Boston (2017); Commonwealth and Council, LA (2016); and Night Gallery, LA (2013). He will have a solo exhibition at the Visual Arts Center at UT Austin in 2019.

Tam has participated in recent group shows at 47 Canal, NY (2018); Hollybush Gardens, London, UK (2017); and Made in L.A.: a, the, though, only, Hammer Museum, LA (2016), and is included in SculptureCenter’s upcoming exhibition, InPractice:Other Objects. He has participated in residencies including Artist Lab at 18th Street Arts Center, Santa Monica, CA (2018), LMCC Workspace (2017-2018); The Core Residency Program, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX (2015-2017) and will be in residence at Pioneer Works in 2019. He is the recipient of a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant (2016); California Community Foundation Fellowship (2015); and Art Matters Foundation Grant (2013). Tam is currently Guest Faculty in Sculpture at Sarah Lawrence College.
