Liza Gennaro choreographed the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of The Most Happy Fella and Once Upon A Mattress starring Sarah Jessica Parker. Off-Broadway she choreographed Tin
Pan Alley Rag for Roundabout Theatre and for the NY Pops Carnegie Hall Holiday Concert she has created dance pantomimes: A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas,
The Night Before Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Liza has choreographed extensively in Regional Theatre including Hair at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, A My Name Is Still
Alice at The Old Globe, Marin Guerre at Hartford Stage, Babes in Arms at The Guthrie Theater, Kiss Me Kate and Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd at The Goodspeed Opera House,
Elf at Pioneer Theatre, Gypsy and Ragtime at Paper Mill Playhouse and multiple seasons at Pittsburgh CLO and The St. Louis “Muny” Opera. She choreographed the Avery Fisher Hall star-studded
Titanic in Concert and has choreographed several national and international tours of Annie.

A musical theatre scholar, Liza has written for The Oxford Handbook of the American Musical, The Oxford Handbook of Dance and Theater, Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism, and her
book-in-progress Making Broadway Dance to be published by Oxford University Press. Liza has served as Head of Musical Theatre in the Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary
Dance at Indiana University. She is a Tony Voter and member of the Executive Board of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC). In July 2018, following a national search, Liza was
appointed Associate Dean and Director of Musical Theatre at Manhattan School of Music.
