Seonjae Kim is a theatre director, sometimes writer and other things. She is originally from Seoul, South Korea. She now mostly lives and works in New York City while searching for opportunities across America and the world. Seonjae collaboratively creates narrative-driven theater that is maximalist, kaleidoscopic, epic and political as well as intimate, personal and emotional. As a leader of artistic processes, she is committed to radical inclusion and progressivism. Drawing inspiration from her liminal cultural position between South Korea and America, Seonjae seeks and makes up stories that fall outside presumed societal narratives.
