This advanced screenwriting workshop will introduce students to the fundamental elements of developing and writing a TV series in the current “golden age of television.” Students will be required to watch television pilots and episodes as assigned, and engage in in-depth discussion about their structure, pacing, character development, etc. Each student will formulate and pitch an original series idea, and write a treatment and first act for the series pilot, as well as season arcs, due by the end of the semester.
