Introductory Poetry

Practice in the original composition of poetry supplemented by the reading and analysis of standard works. Criticism by practicing writers and talented peers encourages the student’s growth as both creator and reader of literature.

Prerequisites and Restrictions

No prerequisites. Open enrollment. If you would like to register for this course and the enrollment is currently full, please add your name to the waitlist for CWR 201

Other Information

Three seats are reserved for first-year students, 3 seats for sophomores, 2 seats for juniors, 2 seats for seniors. Students may begin the creative writing sequence with either CWR 201 or 202.
