Engage with The Debate Society and then consider enrolling in their spring semester Princeton Atelier course!

During this workshop — led by Hannah Bos, Oliver Butler, and Paul Thureen, the founding members of acclaimed Brooklyn based theater company The Debate Society (TDS) — students will participate in a collection of individual and group writing and creation exercises. Students will use these exercises and techniques TDS has developed during 14 years of ensemble play-making to explore locating their unique voice, finding inspiration in unexpected places, overcoming blocks, and laying the groundwork for creating new, singular work.

Workshops with TDS give artists and students, whatever their focus may be, tools to become more effective, unique creators and skills that can be brought to bear on any creative or collaborative endeavor.

“Working with The Debate Society was so inspiring, I wish we had even more time with them because their work ethic and methods were exciting and innovative and required concentration and passion.”
