This course provides ten hours of OSHA-authorized training (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) on critical workplace safety topics with a special emphasis on safe practices related to theatrical production and fabrication. The course teaches entry-level workers how to recognize and prevent common job-related hazards, inform them of their rights, and familiarize them with safety procedures, leading to a safer work environment. Workers with this credential have industry-specific knowledge and skills that help prevent injuries and keep workplaces safe and productive. The course will be led by Allie Geiger Khanna, the Lewis Center Production Office’s Props Supervisor.

In order to be eligible for the OSHA 10-hour card, you must be in attendance for all ten hours of the class. The information in all four sessions will be useful in a general industry course, so even if you cannot make all ten hours, it would be worth considering attending.

You are welcome to bring food and drink to each session, and light snacks will be provided.
