Journey over the rainbow back to Oz with a panel discussion looking at the decades-long cultural impact of the original American fairytale, The Wizard of Oz. Moderated by Professor of Theater Stacy Wolf, author of Changed for Good: A Feminist History of the Broadway Musical, the panel will also include Lecturer in Dance Dyane-Harvey Salaam, a performer in both the Broadway production and the film version of The Wiz; alum Sam Gravitte ’17, who starred as Fiyero in the Broadway and national touring companies of Wicked; and Program Associate for Theater & Music Theater Joe Fonseca, who has written for the fan publication Rainbow over Oz, was a writer for the journal in Australia, and was U.S. representative for the International Judy Garland Club in London. The event will also include a guest performance by members of the Princeton Playhouse Choir—Rika Nishikawa (S), Hanniver Acosta (A), Kevin Edouard (T), and Andy Garrett (B)—led by student music director Marvel Jem Roth ’28.

The event is free and open to the University community. No registration required.
