2022 Princeton Dance Festival

Berlind Theatre at McCarter Theatre Center · Presented by: Program in Dance

Featuring new and repertory works by Ronald K. Brown, Davalois Fearon, Sun Kim, Michael J. Love, Susan Marshall, Rashaun Mitchell & Silas Riener, and Caili Quan, performed by students in the Program in Dance at the Berlind Theatre. The range of works features tap, ballet, dance theater, West African/modern, and post-modern genres. Note: Dec. 2 features open captions; Dec. 4 is a Relaxed Performance.

"Roots" is an evening of two distinctive dance works by Princeton seniors Naomi Benenson and Mandy Qua. These pieces both explore and challenge traditional ways of connecting with oneself and one's community. March 3 performance includes open captioning. Open to public; no tickets required.

Featuring new + excerpted repertory works including a group piece choreographed by prof. Rebecca Lazier; new works choreographed by seniors Jonathan Golden and Gigi Pacheco; a new solo work choreographed by Adriana Pierce performed by senior Lucy Sirrs; a new solo work choreographed by alum Enver Ramadani performed by senior Anastasia Poverin; and excerpt of a work choreographed by Yin Yue, staged by Grace Whitworth, and performed by seniors Heather Samberg and Emma Wang. Spring Hearst Choreographer-in-Residence Brian Brooks and members of Brian Brooks/Moving Company will present an open rehearsal of a new work-in-progress developed during his Hearst residency, as well as excerpts of past repertory works, followed by a conversation. Open to public.
